JeffsList

Accurate Communications has launched it’s very own version of Craigslist via our internal web. This great idea was suggested by one of our agents, Jessica M, who in return received 25 tokens. Way to go Jessica!!

Our internal website has multiple purposes. Its main use is as a public message board to post up babysitting services, requests to change hours, or upcoming local events, etc. We are also able to post company photos of in office parties or social events or even contest winners. It also has a vacation calendar, surveys, and general discussions tab. This is very cool so everyone keep checking it for updates and news that may interest you!

The "Ape" Is Back!

Accurate has recently implemented a new incentive program for its agents similar to that of the past with some new and exciting prizes. The AIP (Accurate Incentive Program) is intended to produce higher levels of productivity as well as employee moral. The agents are rewarded a certain number of tokens for a variety of criteria throughout this program ranging from random drawings to receiving no errors for the month. ATSI Certified

Accurate Communications is in the process of becoming ATSI (Association of TeleServices International) certified. This certification process includes guidelines for CSR certification as well as Dispatchers and Supervisors. It also specifies regulations for life safety, operations and equipment, system maintenance, back-ups, emergency and procedures. This certification will help to raise the status of our company for our customers and also help validate our credibility.

The Business of Horticulture

Jeff Zindel, President of Accurate Communications is writing a book! In efforts with a fellow teacher who he used to teach with at a local college Jeff is writing a book on the business of horticulture. Though the book is just in its beginning stages the introduction, the table of contents, and chapter 1 are written and ready to be sent off for editing. Promotions

Accurate would like to recognize two employees in particular this week. Dustin Robinson (D-Rob) has been an agent with us for a short while and on April 28th was promoted to the administrative staff as a Client Service Representative. D-Rob has 7 years of experience in a call center setting including lead and training positions. Accurate also recognizes the promotion of Cole Otto. Cole has been working at Accurate for 4 years and on May 1st was promoted from the position of a dispatcher in the call center to a Lead on Duty position. Congratulations guys! Accurate's Administrative Professional

In light of the fact that this is Administrative Professionals Week this week’s blog will outline my particular role in the workings of Accurate Communications. My name is Courtney and the most basic function of my job involves answering and appropriately routing from 200 to 300 calls per week that come into our business line. The nature and severity of these calls can range from a potential new client looking to set up services for the next day to physicians frantically trying to change their schedule before the weekend. Every day I run a traffic report analyzing our call volume from the day before. In addition to this daily report I also run numerous weekly reports for 7 different clients as well as 3 very extensive monthly reports. I also manage 4 logs that track and calculate our accuracy as a company and compile them into a comprehensive spreadsheet for review each week. By the middle of the week I am usually filing a mountain of paperwork away for our records and updating our customer database. When Friday rolls around things have usually slowed down just enough for me to catch up on some of the less critical tasks such as writing the Accurate blog. I find time to do all of this in-between distributing the mail and faxes, keeping track of the Admin staff, coordinating conferences, handling applicants and new hires, and screening solicitors. All of these tasks are (in some way or another) done to help ensure a quality product for our customers, but of course this is not just my prerogative, it’s the Accurate’s.

The Biggest Loser

Accurate Communication is taking an active interest in the health and well being of its employees. On March 4th we launched our own version of the contest on the hit reality TV show The Biggest Loser. We are very excited to be working with 24 Hour Fitness in providing health and exercise tips to our employees in order to help them obtain a healthier life style.

The contest will run for 3 months and will be based on the percentage of weight loss of each individual participant. As an added incentive Accurate will be granting 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes to those with the most percentage of weight lost. Each participant pays a $25 incentive fee which Accurate then matches. So far we have 20 participants and the pot is up to $1000! All of the money will be disbursed accordingly to the winners at the conclusion of the contest. The History of Accurate

Accurate Communications was originally owned by Rubie Czerwinski who started the business in 1966. The main office was located on Harney Street in downtown Omaha. The system used for taking messages was the Amtelco EVE system before we switched to our current Infinity system, which allows for features such as on call scheduling, caller ID, and statistical reports. Currently Accurate Communications represents over 1,500 businesses across the United States. We are the region's largest call center which offers telephone messaging and inbound order entry for small to medium- sized clients.

Today Accurate Communications is a one call environment allowing us to focus all of our attention on each business’s phone call. We have been a first responder call center since 1970 enabling us to provide immediate assistance to companies such as suicide hotlines and our Crying Baby Help line to assist in the prevention of shaken baby syndrome.

We are still located on Harney Street just a few blocks from our previous location. We now have over 70 employees currently at our main call center and as remote agents in Atlanta Georgia, Omaha and Lincoln Nebraska. Our average employee tenure is 9 years while our most experienced agents have been with the company for the better part of 40 years.
